Tom Hare at Oslo Botanical Garden

A while ago, visiting Norway, I took a few photographs of the work of Tom Hare, an artist who creates sculptures with willow. If you are interested, have a look at his website.

To see the full size pictures, click on any one of them and navigate with the arrows on the left and right of the screen.

The first aspect that I like in these photographs is the structure of the willow work and the dancing shapes of the mushrooms. Shot mid-Autumn in Oslo, relatively late in the afternoon, the quality of the light adds to this beautiful artistic work. I often look for this light dimmed by the foliage of trees. Either directly or by reflexion, it enhances the inherent texture and warmth of an object.
